ಸಮಂತಪಂಚಕ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರ ಎಂದರೆ ಯಾವುದು ?

ಪರಶುರಾಮನು ಕುರುಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದಲ್ಲಿ ತನ್ನ ಪಿತೃಗಳನ್ನು ಪೂಜಿಸಲು ತೋಡಿದ ಐದು ಕೊಳಗಳ ಸರೋವರವನ್ನು ಸಮಂತಪಂಚಕ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರ ಎಂದು ಕರೆಯುತ್ತಾರೆ

What is “Samantapanchaka Kshetra”?

The lake of five ponds dug by Parasurama to worship his ancestors at Kurukshetra is called Samantapanchaka Kshetra.

ಸಮಂತಪಂಚಕ ಕ್ಷೇತ್ರದ ೪ ವ್ಯಾಖ್ಯಾನಗಳು. 

ಪರಶುರಾಮ ರಕ್ತ ಹರಿಯುವ ಐದು ನದಿಗಳನ್ನು ಸೃಷ್ಟಿಸಿ. ಅದೇ ರಕ್ತದಲ್ಲಿ ಅದ್ದಿದ ಕೈಗಳೊಂದಿಗೆ, ಪಿತೃಗಳಿಗೆ ನೈವೇದ್ಯ ಅರ್ಪಿಸಿದರು.

ದ್ವಾಪರ ಯುಗದ ಅಂತ್ಯ ಹಾಗೂ  ಮತ್ತು ಕಲಿಯುಗದ ಪ್ರಾರಂಭದ ಅವಧಿಗಳಲ್ಲಿ, ಕೌರವರು ಮತ್ತು ಪಾಂಡವರು ಈ ಸ್ಥಳದಲ್ಲಿ ಮಹಾ ಯುದ್ಧವನ್ನು ನಡೆಸಿದರು. ಆದುದರಿಂದ ಈ ಸ್ಥಳಕ್ಕೆ ಸಮಂತಪಂಚಕ ಎಂಬ ಹೆಸರು ಬಂದಿದೆ.

ಬಲಭದ್ರರಾಮನ ಸಲಹೆಯಂತೆ ಈ ಸ್ಥಳವನ್ನು ಯುದ್ಧಭೂಮಿಯಾಗಿ ಆಯ್ಕೆ ಮಾಡಲಾಯಿತು. 

ದುರ್ಯೋಧನನನ್ನು ಸಮಂತಪಂಚಕದಲ್ಲಿ ಕೊಲ್ಲಲಾಯಿತು.

4 Definitions of Samantapanchaka Kshetra.

Parashurama created five rivers through which blood flowed, With hands dipped in the same blood, he offered oblations to the fathers.

During the end of the Dwapara Yuga and the beginning of the Kali Yuga, the Kauravas and the Pandavas fought a great war at this place. Hence the name Samantapanchaka came to this place.

As suggested by Balabhadrarama, this place was chosen as the battlefield in Mahabharatha.

Duryodhana was killed at Samantapanchaka.
