A mantra to suppress death and poverty uttered by Garuda to Kashyapa – Om Jum Sah

Garuda told this mantra to Kashyap which has liberating properties

This Mahamantra is the lord of Nectar. It consists of three syllables.

People can be freed from death and all kinds of sins by chanting this mantra

Omkara should be pronounced first (om).

The syllable jumkara should be pronounced later (jum).

The letter sa at the end should be pronounced with visarga (sah).

The Mantra is Om Jum Sah

ಕಶ್ಯಪರಿಗೆ ಗರುಡ ಹೇಳಿದ ಸಾವು ಮತ್ತು ಬಡತನವನ್ನು ನಿಗ್ರಹಿಸುವ ಮಂತ್ರ

ವಿಮೋಚನಾ ಲಕ್ಷಣಗಳನ್ನು ಹೊಂದಿರುವ ಈ ಮಂತ್ರವನ್ನು ಕಶ್ಯಪರಿಗೆ ಗರುಡ ಹೇಳಿದರು

ಈ ಮಹಾಮಂತ್ರವು ಅಮೃತದ ಅಧಿಪತಿ. ಇದು ಮೂರು ಉಚ್ಚಾರಾಂಶಗಳನ್ನು ಒಳಗೊಂಡಿದೆ.

ಈ ಮಂತ್ರ ಪಠನೆಯಿಂದ ಜನರು ಮರಣ ಮತ್ತು ಎಲ್ಲ ರೀತಿಯ ಪಾಪಗಳಿಂದ ಮುಕ್ತರಾಗಬಹುದು

ಓಂಕಾರವನ್ನು ಮೊದಲು ಉಚ್ಚರಿಸಬೇಕು  (ಓಂ )

ಉಚ್ಚಾರಾಂಶದ ಜುಂಕಾರವನ್ನು ನಂತರದಲ್ಲಿ ಹೇಳಬೇಕು (ಜುಮ್)

ಕೊನೆಯಲ್ಲಿ ಸ ಅಕ್ಷರವನ್ನು ವಿಸರ್ಗ ಸಹಿತ ಹೇಳಬೇಕು (ಸಃ)

ಮಂತ್ರವು ಹೀಗಿದೆ: ಓಂ ಜುಮ್ ಸಃ

ಪಠಿಸುವಾಗ ನೆನಪಿಡಬೇಕಾದ ಪ್ರಮುಖ ಅಂಶಗಳು

ನೂರು ಬಾರಿ ಪಠಿಸುವುದರಿಂದ ಮನುಷ್ಯನು ವೇದಗಳ ಪಠಣ ಅಥವಾ

ಪವಿತ್ರ ಸ್ಥಳಗಳ ತೀರ್ಥಯಾತ್ರೆಯ ಫಲವನ್ನು ಪಡೆಯುತ್ತಾನೆ.

ಇದನ್ನು ಹಗಲಿನಲ್ಲಿ ಮೂರು ಬಾರಿ (ಬೆಳಗ್ಗೆ, ಮಧ್ಯಾಹ್ನ ಮತ್ತು ಮುಸ್ಸಂಜೆ)

ನೂರೆಂಟು ಬಾರಿ ಪಠಿಸುವುದರಿಂದ ಅವನು ಮರಣ ಮತ್ತು ಶತ್ರುಗಳನ್ನು ಜಯಿಸಬಹುದು.

ಪಠಿಸುವವರು, ನಿರ್ಭಯತೆಯನ್ನು ಸೂಚಿಸುವ ಬಿಳಿ ಕಮಲದ ಮೇಲೆ ಕುಳಿತಿರುವ ವರದ (ವರಗಳನ್ನು ಕೊಡುವ) ದೇವರನ್ನು ಊಹಿಸಬೇಕು. ಅಮೃತದ ಅಧಿಪತಿಯು ಅಮೃತದ ಕಲಶವನ್ನು ಎರಡು ಕೈಗಳಿಂದ ಹಿಡಿದುಕೊಂಡಿದ್ದಾರೆ ಎಂದು ಭಾವಿಸಬೇಕು.

ಬಲಗೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಅಮೃತ ಕಲಶ ಮತ್ತು ಎಡಗೈಯಲ್ಲಿ ಕಮಲವನ್ನು ಹಿಡಿದಿರುವ

ಅಮೃತದ ದೇವತೆಯನ್ನು ಅವನು ಭಾವಿಸಬೇಕು.

ಈ ಮಂತ್ರವನ್ನು ಎಂಟು ಸಾವಿರ ಬಾರಿಯಂತೆ ದಿನಕ್ಕೆ ಮೂರು ಬಾರಿ, ಒಂದು ತಿಂಗಳು ಪಠಿಸುವುದರಿಂದ ವೃದ್ಧಾಪ್ಯ, ಮರಣ, ಪಿಡುಗು ಮತ್ತು ಶತ್ರುಗಳನ್ನು ಜಯಿಸಬಹುದು ಮತ್ತು

ಎಲ್ಲಾ ಜೀವಿಗಳಿಗೆ ಶಾಂತಿ ಮತ್ತು ಉಪಕಾರವನ್ನು ಮಾಡುವಂತಾಗುತ್ತದೆ

Important points to remember while reciting

By reciting it a hundred times a man obtains the fruit of recitation of

the Vedas or pilgrimage to holy places.

By reciting it three times a day (morning, noon and dusk)

one hundred and eight times he can conquer death and enemies.

The chanter should visualize the Lord of Varada (giver of boons) seated

on a white lotus, signifying fearlessness. The Lord of Amrita should be thought of as holding the pot of Amrita with both hands.

He should imagine the Goddess of Amrita holding Amrita Kalash

in right hand and lotus in left hand.

Reciting this mantra eight thousand times three times a day for one month can overcome old age, death, pestilence and enemies and bring peace and beneficence to all living beings.
